Architecture leadership
Helping set a technical direction that matches what the business actually needs.
I’m an enterprise solution architect based in Sydney. I work with teams across cloud, data, and AI , usually helping them make clearer decisions, keep things simple, and avoid problems later on. I believe in being on top of emerging technologies - not only conceptually, but doing hands-on to have a pragmatic view on possibilities, potential trade-offs and better alignment with long term goals.
Lower platform licensing costs, after a platform review and tender process.
Saved in running costs by moving infrastructure to a better-suited setup.
A single, shared view of how a company’s applications connect — instead of scattered spreadsheets.
The kind of work I tend to get involved in.
Helping set a technical direction that matches what the business actually needs.
Moving to cloud and container platforms — from the first review through to running them day to day.
Setting sensible standards so teams build things consistently, without slowing them down.
Finding and cleaning up the old decisions that make change harder than it should be.
Supporting other architects and helping teams get better at design.
Why I keep a public journal on enterprise architecture — and how this site is built and published for free.
Outside of work I’m a family person from Sydney. I’m into cricket, curious about how the mind works, and I tend to see most things as a set of connected parts. It’s the same habit that helps at work — figuring out how the pieces fit together.
